Anis Alisya Abdullah obtained her academic and professional qualifications in Science and TESL from National University of Malaysia and University Malaya respectively. She attained her PGCert in Trainer Development in English Language Teaching from University College St Mark St John, Plymouth. She has been a teacher, a teacher educator, Deputy Director in ITE Batu Lintang Campus as well as the Director of Institute of Teacher Education Tun Abdul Razak Campus. Her areas of interests include ELT Trainer development,  beginning teachers, as well as efficacy beliefs of teachers.  She played a key role as the coordinator of the Institute of Teacher Education Batu Lintang Campus in the planning and implementation of the TESL twinning programme between Malaysia and New Zealand (3rd cycle). Based on her vast experience, she was appointed to be part of the Blended Learning for Teacher Educators in Asia and Europe Project from November 2015 to February 2019, which involved participants from France, Belgium, Estonia, Denmark, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan and Malaysia. Currently she is the Senior Deputy Rector of Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia.

This keynote touches on how teachers can lead positive change by using science and technology education to inspire, inform, and equip students. Educators play a crucial role in helping students understand the impact of science and technology on the world, preparing them to think critically and contribute meaningfully in a rapidly evolving society.
